Fred Wedlock died yesterday of a heart attack.
He was a folk singer, humorist, actor and more. To remember him, this is his first album he made
The title track is a funny re-elaboration of Simon & Garfunkel's hit "The boxer"
We have lost a number of good Folksingers in such a short time... John Martyn, Tim Hart, Davy Graham, Liam Clancy, and now Fred Wedlock.. Not forgetting the greatest pioneer of the modern guitar, Les Paul.
Not really a good moment, unfortunately...

ReplyDeleteI c that 15 people DL/ed this album!
Only TWO of them have said thank you. I dunno who r the others but 4 sure they'll have to crop up and ask 4 the PW, if they ALSO want to hear the music!
This practice of never ever sayin not even a short note is really makin me furious..
