Reup from Folk-Impossible
The front cover of my copy - but probably there was also another vinyl edition with no picture at all.
For the occasion, I did a new vynil rip, complete re-elaboration and fixed some defects here and there. New bitrate at 320 and for those interested, there will be a FLAC available too.

If we today have these two masterworks in our record collections, we owe this in large part to Ralph McTell, a musician who is one of my top favourties, who produced both COB's studio albums. As he said once, Danny Thompson, session man on "Moyshe McStiff", was the only musician, out of those involved, who ever got somehow paid for his contribution: he received a box with 25 copies of the album"... (!)
A picture taken in 2005: seen today, Mick Bennett, original COB member (left), Ralph McTell (centre) and columnist Richard Morton Jack.McTell is also the one who still owned the original master tapes of the albums, and it's again thanks to him that today we have the newly remastered COB works available.

Your COUNTESS
Oh....My....God....Can you please let me know how I can get this live 1972 COB file? These guys cave my head in every time I listen to them. I've been so disapointed these past 15 years thinking there were only 2 COB albums. When I saw this I knew you must be the real deal...
ReplyDeleteDear Geoffrey,
ReplyDeleteyou don't need to disturb God ;)), you can get the album from me, but you must first tell me your email address, so please write again and the next time you get the album :-)
Till soon,
the Countess
